The flat trend so hot for spring and summer translates to fall in the Steve Madden Tianna Flat Boots -- a soft, slouchy boot.

5 out of 5 stars Great boot for comfort and style.   January 30, 2010
Sammi Grey (TN)
I spent at least a month looking for the perfect boot to wear at work. I walk at least 2-2.5 miles at work each day so I wanted something that was comfortable. I also wanted something that fit over jeans and would leave a large gap. These boots were perfect. I was able to wear them all day without having my feet hurt. They also fit perfectly over my jeans. I ordered these boots in the grey and I was very happy with the color as well. I would buy them again and in different colors as well.

5 out of 5 stars Love my boots   October 3, 2009

Had these boots before but left them in Amsterdam and couldn't live without them so I bought a new pair! They are great and they got to me fast, fabulous service!

2 out of 5 stars wished for so much more   September 27, 2009
HB Girl (Huntington Beach, CA)
I loved these boots- frequently went to look at them at the department store but hadn't bothered to try them on as I couldn't spend the extra money right now. Then I received them as a gift! I do not notice any of the hard toe problems, and the shoe portion fits exactly to my usual size. My problem is they are too narrow to go up my calf! I'm not stick skinny by any means, but I'm not obese either..I'm a size 12 but couldn't pull these up my calf more than half way. Unfortunately, I know that they can be slouched more than they appear to- because that's the only way they'll go on me!

2 out of 5 stars A One Winter Boot. For Dry Cities Only.   August 3, 2009
Jane Tompkins
I bought these shoes after hearing/reading all the praise. But I have been disappointed.

Steve Madden boots are turning out to be VERY cheap these days.

When first buying them I thought they were cute and worked well, but as time went on and as I constantly walked to class and work in Manhattan in these shoes- they began to deteriorate. The card board at the bottom of the show began to show as the "suede" weakened and loosened.

I don't know what the problem was, but I'm not a fan of certain steve madden things.

SO WHAT WENT WRONG? I think that though I wear a size 9.5, I should have gotten a 9. A smaller size for these shoes is something to consider because it leaves less slouch on the bottom heel of the shoes. I feel like my 9.5 has grown into a 10 because of the wear and tear and loosening. Also, alot of walking was bad for these shoes- so not good for daily use in a big city. It sometimes ended up raining when I wore them, maybe 4-5 times, so I had to walk a few blocks in the rain with them. And I wore them when it snowed... these shoes DO NOT like water in any form.

These shoes only lasted me one winter! That's bull-crap. I bought some of those cheaper look-alike Tianna boots for about $25 the winter before knowing that they would only last one season, but when buying these I planned for them to last me atleast 2 years. No way hosea, these suckers are NOT built to last!

Honestly though, when I first learned of these in 2007 they were quality, but the late 2008 version of these shoes are crap. They may have changed production and materials just to keep up with the demand and popularity of the boots... and they sacrificed quality.

Just be careful when purchasing. They should be fine if you don't plan to wear them as everyday winter boots in walking cities. If you live in a city where people drive everywhere then you should be fine. You will also be fine if you live in a dry winter city, not a wet one.

5 out of 5 stars Very Classy   May 7, 2009
Brenda L. Hoten (East Lansing)
Love this design. Could be a bit wider for tucking pants in around the top. They are like wearing moccasins; very lightweight and comfy.
