Good Fit July 20, 2010 Cynthia Leigh (New Orleans, LA, USA) -Great for people with large calves, as it's both lace-up and comes to about a little below mid-calf on me. (I'm plus-size & 5'5.)
-I don't really care for the synthetic material used, as it looks just like that, but for the price it's fine.
-The heel is manageable for someone not used to walking in heels 24/7.
-I did get one blister on the back of my ankle, but I wasn't wearing socks (just stockings) the first time I wore these. (I've gotten much worse blisters from other shoes I've owned.)
A Great Business to work with March 3, 2010 Julie A. Blohm (Colorado Springs, CO United States) I ordered this product but accidentally ordered the wrong size. When I realized my mistake and emailed the company they got back to me and verified several times the correct size. When the boots came they were packaged nicely and fit beautifully.
i love them January 4, 2010 L.C. I got these boots and they fit perfectly! They look really nice and they are gonna look amazing with this cosplay im going to do. The shipping was good too!
Granny Boots November 18, 2009 SGT (Romeo, Michigan USA) These are great - I bought them in black and white to go with my Halloween custumes - Witch and a Victorian Woman.
Great costume piece for the price September 8, 2009 Marjorie Burns (Orange County, CA, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Wow, nobody in these reviews seems to be able to agree: do the boots run large or small? Are they narrow or not?
My take:
- I wear a size 6 1/2 in normal shoes, but almost always wear a 7 in boots. Same situation here... size 7.
- I have a wide-ish foot and they fit me fine.
- After wearing them around ALL DAY at Comic-Con, they did not chafe or hurt me in any way, which is more than I can say for most non-costume shoes. The manmade material, however, did make my feet and ankles get sweaty. Also, as I often find with synthetic shoelaces, they came untied of their own accord at a couple points during the day.
- They're such a cute costume basic, especially for someone like me who enjoys dressing up in Victorian/Edwardian stuff! So far they have been durable and comfy... I thought they might be a bit of a frivolous purchase, but I don't regret it at all!
